Independent Parlour Testing Service

DMD Engineering provide an independent parlour testing service and is tested to BS ISO 6690. This means that you can trust that your equipment has been tested in accordance with current British Standards.

What does it involve?

Dairy farmers are skilled in livestock husbandry, but in some cases there’s lack of knowledge in cow health and quality of the milk in the parlour. Therefore, at DMD Engineering we provide this service to ensure the quality and running of the parlour is checked on a basis that suits you.

Milking Machine testing

DMD Engineering provide milking machine testing that could involve a contractual level of milking machine testing. This often involves an annual static test of the machine, switched on and functioning but not milking to ascertain correct vacuum levels, adequate vacuum reserve, correct pulsation and air leakage characteristics as well as a visual inspection of rubberware.

What does the test include?

While this level of testing covers the most important aspects of the parlours functioning, a more in depth dynamic test covers many important aspects:

Effective milking machine function
Correct milk flow through the parlour
Correct Automatic Cluster Remover settings
Flow and behaviours within the parlour
Operator assessment
Parlour cleaning functions
